Here's a clip when Shane was just about 15 months old using his favorite word "up up up" over and over. It's a typical clip that a typical mom would think is cute. And it is. Brief, but cute. Now at 27 months, he is talking about monkeys and drum man, cookies and Elmo. And I forget, even now, that what started as so small is becoming more and more complex by the day. A miracle to watch. And hold, cuddle, kiss, and sing silly songs too.

Not always easy. But always miraculous.
