Tell me how the boys are different?

I'm asked that question often. I think it's a great question and I could talk your ear off about my children. What mother wouldn't? But my answer is usually something like, "Well Shane has a dimple in his chin, and Luke has a dimple on his left cheek." I stumble to articulate even though all day long I am wowed by their unique personalities. Even though they are still young, this is my interpretation of what I see thus far. ..

Shane is two hours in the birth canal sipping a martini and Luke is three strikes and he's out.
Shane is a bouquet of deep red roses and Luke is a field of wild flowers.
Shane is the Joker and Luke is the loudest unabashed laugh in the room.
Shane is the chase-me, chase-me!, and Luke is the I'll tackle you now!
Shane is Jane Austin days and Luke is from Charles Dickens times.
Shane is blueberry pancakes with syrup and Luke is pancakes with peanut butter.
Shane is sailing and Luke is kayaking backwaters.
Shane is laced shoes and Luke is sandals.
Shane is a front-porch swing and iced tea, and Luke a tire-swing and lemonade.
Shane is apple pie and Luke is strawberry rhubarb.
Shane is basketball and Luke is offensive lineman.
Shane is khaki's and Luke is cut-offs.
Shane is, "There's a stain on your dress mama," and Luke is "Mama you're an annnnnngel."
Shane is chuckle and a wink and Luke is slap and a snort.
Shane is hugs and kisses and Luke is bear-hugs and butter-fly kisses.

Brothers. They'll always share that!

I love that you are able to see these things in your boys. Actual or interpretation.
You are and always have been such a great writer!
