My friend Danielle tagged me with a meme, which means exactly that; I have to share with you a few things you may or may not know about me...me. I'll tag five others at the end and you then get to share from your own collection of quirks, hidden talents, etc.
To know and tell:
1. I joined cross-country in junior high school because my older brother ran. My friend and I snacked on chocolate chip cookies and carrots before practice. Every minute of my JV experience was awesome.
2. I had bad hair for many, many years due to an obsession with "feathering," perms and too much hairspray. Bad combo. I finally started to enjoy my hair in college and discovered hair coloring. I then bleached my hair so blond for so many years that I gave myself a "chemical cut" (aka. it died). I now appreciate dishwater-all-natural-blond.
3. The once-called "Tall Guy" (my now-husband) prayed that if I returned from a 1 1/2 year stint in India still single, God would keep me for him. He did.
4. It's a toss-up. My second life as a snow boarder, or a beach bum crashing through waves all day.
5. I once babysat a pet monkey for a few months. He didn't like girls so I got bit quite often.
6. I ran a half marathon, the Hippie Chick, on Mothers Day a year before moving to India. It established an incredible awe in me for marathoners. Someday it will be my turn.
7. I cannot decorate a home for the life of me. Picking out curtains is the biggest stress of all. Hate it.
Hummm. Who's next? I tag Leah, Kevin, Kim, Jen Lembright, and Anna.

I LOVE knowing these things about you!
I'm right there with you on the years of bad hair. I look at pictures and want to burn them. I try to comfort myself by remembering that it was the style to do these horrible things so, in some sense, we all looked that way...
I'm also right there with you on not decorating. My bedroom STILL doesn't have curtains. Now that I'm on vacation and talking to my husband over web-cam/skype, I can see what an ugly, ugly bedroom not having curtains has give me...
